The Jetdrive 855 is also currently the only product on the market that allows you to use either the included Jetdrive 850 SSD or your original factory Apple SSD in the included enclosure, providing maximum flexibility when upgrading. To upgrade you can simply clone your internal SSD to the Jetdrive 850 housed in the enclosure, then switch the drives over. (See the installation video below for more details.)

The JetDrive Toolbox clearly displays drive information, S.M.A.R.T. status for possible drive failure, a health indicator showing estimated lifespan remaining, and firmware upgrade.
