ORICO USB3.0/2.0 USB-A to USB-C OTG Adapter
- Form Factor: USB Adapter
- Warranty: 12 Months
- Condition: New
This handy adapter allows you to connect any device or peripheral with a USB-A USB 3.0/2.0 connector port to a host device with a USB-C USB 3.0 port. It supports the USB On-the-go (OTG) function; up to 5 Gbps SuperSpeed transfer speeds, with a robust aluminium alloy chassis.
The great thing about USB Type-C is that it's reversible, so no matter which way you insert this adapter, it's always in the right way. The folks at Orico also manufactured the CTA1 port an anti-oxidative aluminium alloy, for increased durability.
The CTA1 supports up to USB 3.0 transfer speeds that are 10 times faster than USB 2.0, allowing you to transfer 4K movies or large files quickly, reducing your waiting time.
OTG function
OTG, short for USB On-The-Go, is a specification that allows USB devices, such as tablets or smartphones, to act as a host, allowing other USB devices, such as USB flash drives, digital cameras, mice or keyboards, to be attached to them. The CTA1 allows newer tablets, phones and laptops with USB-C ports to connect to these peripherals with a USB-A connector to take advantage of OTG.
Multiple devices supported - compatible with phones / tablets with OTG function
The CTA1 supports U-disk, mouse, keyboard, card reader and other USB devices. It's also widely compatible with a growing number of host devices such as the new 12 inch MacBook, Xiaomi 4C, ZUK Z1, OnePlus 2, Le MAX / 1 / Pro, Xiaomi 2 Tablet, Meizu Pro5, and others. Note, the host device requires OTG support to work with these peripherals, so if you're not sure, check your manual.
Manufactured with Aesthetics in mind
Orico are a relative newcomer to the tech hardware industry, and strive to not only make useful devices, but good-looking and durable ones too. The CTA1 features a sleek aluminium alloy matte finish and a laser engraved logo.
